Here we are again. Several hours of boredom made me decided to revive this blog again to act as a testing ground and allow me to show my unending fucking frustration for Internet Explorer 6, among other things. Obviously, corporate environments are going to take a very long time to upgrade their browsers… but come on! How many years has it been now since far better alternatives are available freely for everyone? I think we are past the point where such excuses are plausible anymore.
This has to be one of the most frustrating things when developing a website. You get everything coded up, it validates perfectly for XHTML and CSS. Then you go try it out in Firefox, Safari, Chrome, IE7, IE8 (fixing things for IE7 of course) and the million subversions and it all works perfectly. You tap yourself on the back and grab a coffee. When you get back your inbox contains that cursed e-mail:
Hey dude, what about IE6? I see a lot of things don’t work properly with it!
That’s where the problems usually start. I’ll stop this rant now, but I will cherish the day IE6 dies forever and ever and ever and ever.
Welcome to my corner on the Internet. This website is mostly used as a playground for coding experiments and general ramblings about anything and everything. If strong language bothers you I suggest you stop reading and leave. Otherwise, feel free to look around and let me know what you think.
